Ceramic materials (technical or refractory) are inorganic and non-metallic. Usually they are shaped from the “green body” at room temperature and acquire their typical properties during a sintering process at high temperatures. Thermogravimetry andcalorimetry are perfect tools for complete characterization and understanding of ceramics materials.
Together with DTA and dilatometry, sintering processes can be studied and optimized.

SETARAM offers specially designed systems for measuring.
Phase transition, heat capacity, thermal conductivity, sintering behavior, thermal expansion coefficient, shrinkage behavior are parameters of major importance that can be studied with our systems.
