Thermo Mechanical Analysis (TMA) / Dilatometry

ThermoMechanical Analysis - TMA - measures the deformation of a sample under non-oscillating stress against time or temperature, with programmed temperature.
The vertical design of SETARAM Instrumentation's TMA systems makes it possible to work with very low loads applying only negligible force to the sample.
Properties measured by ThermoMechanical Analysis -TMA -include thermal expansion coefficients, softening, sintering, glass transition, etc.

96 Line TMA

96 LINE is a line of modular high temperature (ambient to 2000°C) and large volume thermal analyzers (drop-calorimeter, calorimeter, DTA, DSC, TGA, TMA).

The large sample volume has many advantages, providing possibilities such as:
- Analysis of bulky, massive and non-dissociable samples (e.g. corrosion studies of mechanical parts, etc.).
- Work on mixed materials (concrete core sample, etc.).
- Detection of very small variations of mass with TGA (corrosion studies on sheet steel, etc.).

    MOF'S Conference

    photo
    Marseille, FRANCE

This conference will follow the very successful 2008 conference that was held in Augsburg. The conference 2010 will be organized in Marseille at a central location overlooking the old port. The aims of MOF2010 are to address all questions concerning the community working with Metal Organic Frameworks, Metal Coordination Compounds and related materials. The spectrum of topics to be treated range from synthesis and characterization of new materials to properties of materials towards potential applications in biology/medicine, catalysis, magnetism, luminescence and sorption. Both experimental and theoretical aspects will be dealt with, along with key questions pertaining to potential industrial applications of this fascinating family of materials.
