The displacement transducer equipping the SETSYS Evolution TMA models is characterized by its robustness and high accuracy: it can detect dimension changes of as little as 0.01 micron.
The transducer uses an electromagnetic system for automatic control of the force applied to the sample, between 0.01 and 1.5 N. The force can be increased by adding weights (up to 200 grams) on a top plate. Transducer calibration and force control are managed automatically by computer.
Controlled-rate dilatometry and TMA: with this software, the SETSYS Evolution TMA can be used as a dilatometer. The SETSYS Evolution TMA
is also particularly suitable for measuring controlled rate sintering.
