The SETARAM Instrumentation Applications Laboratory has acquired more than 20 years' experience in thermal analysis and calorimetry. It is thus capable of performing analyses in areas such as Pharmaceuticals, Life Sciences, Metallurgy, Ceramics, Petrochemicals and Nuclear power.
Furthermore, the SETARAM Instrumentation Applications Laboratory has a large pool of permanently operational instruments enabling it to provide analysis services. These instruments are either manufactured by SETARAM or are models from other brands distributed by SETARAM (MICROCAL, PFEIFFER, C-THERM).
These instruments are regularly renewed, which means that the Applications Laboratory always has equipment that incorporates the state-of-the-art in design and manufacture.

The available analysis techniques are:
- Thermogravimetry (TG)
- DSC (Differential Scanning Calorimetry)
- Differential Thermal Analysis (DTA)
- Coupled techniques TG-ATD, TG-DSC
- The gases emitted during a Thermogravimetric analysis can be analyzed by Mass Spectrometry (MS)
- Calorimetry
- ThermoMechanical Analysis (TMA) and dilatometry
- TSC (Thermo-Stimulated Currents)
